Chat Room
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, May 27, 2004 9:11 PM
I like what I have seen so fare, But how about a chat room for us modelers. This way we would be able to ask each other questions and give responces back in real time. This is just an idea that I think will go a long way and get a big responce. If there is already a chat room for this websight let me know.

Sorry Doc, several people have asked before and both Andy (Administrator) and Jim (Editor) have said it won't happen here. Read this thread for more information.

As MojoDoctor said, this has come up several times before, and just isn't possible here. A couple of alternatives were given, but the one I signed up for, was just messages, which we already have here. However, I've got an idea that might work. There is a game site called pogo.com that is reputable, free, and has a chat column next to every game. Games such as the slot machines, are not timed games, so would be a perfect place to meet up. There are also cash jackpots which are not easy to win, but we could set a meeting time, let each other know the name we will be using, and play and chat at the same time. You have to sign up and pick a screen name that isn't in use, and that's it. It is the site that AOL and Compuserve use for their "fun and games" shortcut, and is owned by Electronic Arts, one of the biggest computer game companies around. I've been a member for about a year and a half, and the only problem I've had is I've gotten hooked on some of the games, lol. This, of course, has cut into my building time a lot, but one of those jackpots will sure buy a lot of kits and tools (they can get up to $4999.00), and paint!!!!! Just an idea, what do you guys think?

that sounds like an awesome idea Lacquerjack. but to make it a little simpler, i just added a chat room to my website. ill post a link at the end of this reply. when you get to the hompage, go over to the navbar at the left and click chatroom. after it loads, it will ask you a name, after that, happy chatting! just try to keep it clean guys. be sure to sign the guestbook while your there! later.

Hi, Twosons! You asked me about going to model shows in WI. I will be at the Glue Crew show in Wausau on Oct. 23 this fall. A chat room would be great to help us keep in touch. You're from Menasha? Have relatives there. Great to touch base with someone else from WI on this site.
I know, I know....Something cute, clever, or insightful belongs here! http://public.fotki.com/skmodelcars
