the Forum will not accept my password
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, April 05, 2004 8:46 PM
Ah, logicians will say then how are you posting this? Well it's just a problem from my "daytime" location. And while reasonable recreational use of the internet is allowed, I would not take it so far as to ask our IT dept.: "hey I'm having a problem logging on to SA. Can you help?"

I KNOW I am entering my password properly but it does not work. The reset does not work either. Any ideas? Firewall issue perhaps? I would like to participate during the day, but it looks like this problem may confine me to lurker status. Thanks, Bowtie

This has happened to many of us, me included, and the simple sollution was to remove the 'cookies' and then retry!
If that doesn't do it, there may be an issue with a recent upgrade to the firewall in your daytime computer.
Good luck!

What level is the Privacy setting set to?

Tools/ Internet Options/Privacy. Move the slider up and down to adjust the setting. If mine is set to a level higher than Medium High, then it prevents my password from being entered. It's worth a check.

A lot of buisiness's servers are set to restrict cookies for security reasons. I can't log on from work because of this.
