Modeling clubs
Posted by Night_Stone on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 12:38 PM
Is there a chance we can get a section, where people can add a link for their modeling club. If they don't have a website, they can have their club address or name added to the listing. This would just be registering model clubs in that area, for others who wish to join by sending email or phone call to that specific club. It would not be a forum, but a club listing where people registered their clubs and to let others know a modelcar club exists in their area.

There is a listing in the back of each issue of Scale Auto if you take a look in the back

I checked the back of the latest SAE, but the only club I saw was IPMS. I was in one of those chapters, but the leadership was always towards military stuff and not cars. I did not see any other clubs that is even close to where I live. Can you specify where you see this listing this Dag65?

There's a club directory in the back of the Contest Annual 2003 but not in the back of every Scale Auto.

Ahh my bad , sorry for the misinformation.
Andy could that listing be posted here then, if its not in every issue and only in the special Contest Annual that you have to order seperatley its not very useful.

I went to a "gentleman's club" because the sign said they had all the hottest models. I thought it was a hobby shop. Man, was I ever disappointed.

Hmmmm I agreee its a club of sorts but its kinda hard to get together.
Last Friday the club I am in met and we had a kit exchange , I did a Decal demo with Microsol and Microset. Ate some junk food , had a good BS session and welcomed a new member " Jared " from right here on SA.
Next month we will have a BBQ at my house.
We also do a make-n-take at the Good GUys show in Colorado Springs every year.
Currently we are working towards promoting our own contest.
SO as much as I like all you here the chance to meet and do all these things really makes being in a local club fun!

Hey, i was thinking the same thing...
I'm tired of Ohio, but they do have a great car club here. C.A.R (Cincinnati Auto Replicas) and it is only cars in this club, which is rare i understand.

I did not get a newsletter this month which depressed me and i wasn't able to get to the meeting Monday so i am doubly depressed...

I'm not in a club now , but would like to be in one or even start one if possible. If your in the Jefferson City TN. area send me an e-mail and lets get building. I was in a club when I lived in FL. so I do have some good ideas about keeping things even and helping my fellow modelers out when there in a jam. Cool
