Problems logging in
Posted by Miguel Mejia on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 1:07 PM
Is anybody else having problems logging into the forum. I seem to get kick out while I am reading posts. I also have some problems logging back in. I just want to know if this is just me or if anyone else has this problem.

Miguel,

We'll keep an eye on it, but I use the site from work and home and have yet to have that kind of problem. Anyone else have that experience?

Hang in there, though. Glad you're with us!

i had a problem this past saturday, early sunday( the 15th) i would log in, posted two replies, and then it kept coming back telling me there was a problem, and i was no longer logged in. i kind of blew it off , logged back in , and it happened again, this went on for about 30 minutes and then i just got off line. it may have been my junky computer, or my great aol service? but that has been my only trouble so far.

Dave,

That sounds like the sort of thing I used to run into too when I had AOL, as I did for a number of years. When we moved to Wisconsin I dropped AOL and went to TimeWarner's Road Runner, and those sorts of problems stopped. Ironically, one big reason we made the switch was that my kids do a bunch of online racing and had a lot of problems with disconnects, etc. when they tried to get several people online to race with them. Of course, you pay for the convenience and alleged high speed -- my basic cable + Road Runner costs me $85/month now! Grumpy

I have my problems when I log it at work. I think it happens if I use the back button after I post a message. Most of the time it happens when I'm at work. I am not sure what kind of connection there is but at home I have a cable modem and have not had any problems at all.

For what it's worth I'm on wmconnect and it does the same thing at times, then your site says my screen name and pass word is wrong. Dump the connection and reconnect, back on, but what a drag. My $0.02 Tiburon
