First like to say like the board and the last issue was great starting to get back to the old Scale Auto. Now have a question for ya guys on the Annual . Can we get more pages /pics in the Contest Annual? I dont get to go to many shows and so I realy look forward to every October to see this .I know you take LOTS of pics at every show but not all show up in this book Plus some time you dont even see the winners Models .I woulnt mind seeing it get a little bigger and paying a couple of dollars more insted of getting smaller and paying more. Thanks and keep up the good work!

We receive reports throughout the year for the Annual, and I think it's safe to say it will stay about the same size it is now; it has about the right number of events, and the coverage has to be in proportion to the size of the event.

As for coverage of the winners, sometimes this is hard/impossible to do, because at a alrge show there are many winners, and sometimes time constraints won't allow you to get photos of many you'd like to get. For instance, I'll be at NNL West next weekend, and we have only an hour to clear the building from the time awards are finished. I'm sure we'll have at least some of the winners before that, but with people packing up, anxious to leave, etc., it's a problem.

We use freelancers for much of the coverage, and the quality of the incoming stuff can vary too; they may be busy helping to run the show and not have much time to shoot. It's a lot of work to cover a show properly, and we do try to get as many good models -- winners or not -- as time allows. Again at NNL West, I will only have six hours to shoot models; sounds like a long tme, but really isn't. We'll do the best we can, though.

Hello, jhaught. I think I might have met you in person but im not sure. Did you cover the "Cactus Classic" in Victorville back in November? You probably have different guys cover different shows. That was a great show and since I live in Sacramento, it was a long drive but well worth it! I'll definately attend next year! Thumbs Up

No, I wasn't in Victorville, but I do get out to Rancho Cordova a couple times each year for some flying-model contests, and I will be in San Jose (I know the way Wink ) next weekend.
