Are we allowed to use pictures in our signatures now?
Posted by milo1303s on Saturday, January 06, 2018 4:23 AM

Not to sound like I'm ratting on people, but I've seen a couple members with pics in their signatures and wanted to know if it's "legal" now. I wouldn't mind a pic in my sig, just a little one...

I have been on this forum for 12+ years and the rule at the time was NO pictures were allowed in your signature.  This was set up by Jim Haught I believe and was closely adhered to.  I am going to say that the rules set up back then are still in effect today even though the magazine has a new editor.  I know that there are a couple of members that posted pictures in their signatures and I haven't said anything for fear of becoming known as a "squealer".  I would say, don't do it until the Admins say otherwise.

In my own defence, I never knew there was a "Restriction" on picture's in the signature line.

Seem's that the last time it was brought up was 11 years ago. So how am I to know whats allowed When the "LATEST" rule is BURRIED 11 years back in History?

Seem's to me ,if it was that importaint it would have been posted in the forum rules , Instead of a passing post in forum guidelines, A post started by a member.... not an Administrator or moderator. Its only after reading through a few members posts that we get an administrator's input.

Had no one asked, would it have been a problem?

In order to maintain "LAW AND ORDER" I will remove the picture in my signature.

Hope your happy    .......

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

I just looked through the "TERM'S OF SERVICE" and it says  N O T H I N G  about picture's in the signature line.

So other than a random post in the forum guidelines' ( by a member, NOT an Administrator ) Just what is the LAW ????

Guess this forum's not moderated anymore no wonder it's gone to s#!t !!!

Hate to be the one to tell you this ( and I am guilty of it also )

You cannot use symbol's to replace bad word's.

As long as the photos/GIFs are appropriate than it is fine. Keep in mind, the signature that people keep "Reporting" to me, is seriously just from the TV show, "The Walking Dead." It's fine.
