How about a "TV/Movie Car Category?
Posted by CanesBart on Thursday, January 05, 2017 1:29 PM

TV/Movie car models can be, well, different.  They are often not accurate with the prototypes they represent, and are "movie" and not real life.

I admit I am uncomfortable posting pics of say, a Al Bundy "Dodge" Duster, overcoated with Polly S "Dust" paint  in the categories like Street or Stock, with all those beautiful shiny models.  I feel dirty.  Wink

Just a thought.

It would be easier to see all the movie model builds.  :)

But really, when Model master "Rust" and "Dust" are your main paints for the engine and compartment, it gives you a complex on those "shiny show model" categories  Big Smile

I doubt a "TV/Movie Car" type of section would be added due to the fact that Jim Haught has for some time now claimed that there are plenty of sections for whatever model car that is built/displayed.  It is up to the individual posting to determine where their model should be posted.  Not all TV/Movie Cars are muscle cars, nor are they Factory Stock.  And, I wouldn't want that section added only to be overwhelmed by DOH Chargers.  Just use some common sense and post your TV/Movie Car in the correct catagory!

Obviously, you are not a member of the model car forums on Facebook. Everybody and their horse has built at least one!
