Paragraphs?
Posted by rickr442 on Friday, October 08, 2010 4:48 PM
SO here I am a professional writer, and I post on this board using paragraphs and all those things my English teachers taught me, but when it comes up it;'s all one blob, no artful paragraph breaks to emphasize the proper wording and structure. Bummer. What gives?

Political correctness requires that the board be tuned to the lowest common denominator.

It's a neat heat and can't be beat.

I haven't had a problem with this.

A double 'enter' strike does fine.

I'm sure that you, as a writer, will enjoy the exceptional creativity you find here, not only in modeling and automotive design, but in grammar, spelling and punctuation. As you will see, ordinary words like "lacquer," "axle," and "its" can be chopped, channeled, sectioned and stretched in ways you never thought possible. You seem to have invented one yourself!

There are some comments sections, and maybe even some forums, that don't allow paragraph breaks. But this forum works just like a word processing program; double-returns produce paragraph breaks without fail.

Thanks for that......................................... Years ago I did write for SAE, and probably chopped and channeled a few paragraphs myself!................................... I have progressed a bit. Check out Chevy Enthusiast Magazine, Dec. 2011, cover story, 'Detective Story'. Somebody NEEDS to model that car!...................................................... Still no paragraphs though, probably a problem with my steam powered computer...

I'm just happy if I see some white space at all. Whenever I see a message that's one looooong paragraph my brain shuts down and refuses to process it.

Indents and other niceties I can do without but I gotta have my white space. Cool
