If you started a forum and there are already posts on it from other people, can the person who originally started the post delete the forum all together?....VETTE

No, you can only delete a thread if there are no replies, if you want your thread deleted Moderators or Admin can do it, just email the topic ID (the URL for the post, in the address bar) a reason why would be good too, i.e. Information found or no longer needed, message wrong, double posted, redundant question, etc.
