Is there an appropriate place in the forums to promote one's own business/website/etc?

Though you can pay for advertising elsewhere in the magazine and on their website.

There is no part of this forum that can be used to promote anything. I would suggest you advertise elsewhere unless you want alot of flack from Admim for "advertising a competing business/website."

I was asking because I'm new to the forums and have seen many mentions of "XYZ Product" and "ABC website" scattered around throughout the various post topics. Hey, I just want to know what the rules are!!!

I way wondering if you could post to give something away. I have been doing some casting of wheels lately and always end up with extra few extras. I would be glad to give them to someone that needs them. I usually watch the parts needed section to see if someone needs some. I have sent out several sets that way, but I still have some extras. Might not be the best cast but the price is write "free". I do not intend to sell them, that would take the fun out of casting and also I don't want someone complaining that they are not good enough. If they like them just a thank you, if they don't just pitch them out.
