2nd GenChargerBuildOff 2 (Done, Over)
Posted by M0parManJimF on Friday, March 28, 2008 11:29 PM
Okay you all, I have been thinking on this for the past few months now. And decided to go for it once again. The last one ran from April to Sept 07 last year. Some had intered more then one and couldn't get them in on time. For some that didn't get them in and didn't finish them off in time and are still in the boxs wait to be complate. Thats where 2nd Gen Charger Build Off 2 comes in at. Those that have the chargers that was entered before but didn't finish them up though.. you can in this build off and enter one or two models only for the new build. But only one or two new models of a 2nd Gen Charger though. this way folks will have time to get them done in time.

Old players can finish there other one off from 2nd Charger Build Off 1 that they entered back then and also enter one or two new models to build only!

New comers, you can enter one or two models of a 2nd Gen Charger only. They are two class's this time.

Rebuilds are also welcome in this.. so if you have one and want to redo it and like to enter it, it's up to you.

The Class's
Class 1: Tv or Movie Chargers
Class 2: Plane Jane Chargers (this is for chargers that aren't Class 1)

You just let me know which class you are entering the new build/builds in.

The Build Off will start April 15,2008 at midnight light the original one did and it will end at midnight Sept 21,2008.

They are no prizes, this is just for building fun is all.

The rules are you can not enter no diecats models (sorry) only plastic models. the scales are 1/25 scale only. Only one winner will be in each class.

If you enter a General Lee, please make sure that you cover the roof up, the flag offends some folks also and it's site board rules here to cover the flag up (sorry).

1/24 & 1/25 Scales Here

The Chargers
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Members That Have Entered Already:
Class 1:

Class 2:

The Challengers

Class 2

-------------------------------------------------------------------

*NEW* 1/18 Scales Here

Class 1

Class 2

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay just in case you over look it before, one note here for you all, if you can't find a new kit to build, but rather have afew old ones that you would like to rebuild. Those are welcome here as while.

NO 1/24 & 1/25 scale diacast's allowed though.

I would like to have at least 20 Entrys 30 at the most.

Yea only one sorry, unless you are one of them that didn't finish the model from the last one. But you was a judge and wasn't in it. This time even the judges can compete in the build off! I might not enter one this time though (kinda to many models on the work table) but you all can have the fun though.

Bronze, if you like to be judge again for this one, let me know as you did good last time. And you can still be in the game.

I am positive you can. he last 2nd Gen. Charger buildoff (I judged it), had Charger 500s and Daytonas in it too.The Daytona would go into the Plain Jane (stock) Charger section.

Just a sujestion, you should make this a charger and challenger build off, it would probably draw more attention but do a challenger and a charger class to be judged seperatly, i know there are alot of people building challengers out there.

Well first off, I would like to say that i think Brone is doing avery well darn good job with helping me out with answering the questions, he knows me I guess and what my answers will be before I say them! LOL.

Yes, Bronze is my former judge from the original 2nd Gen Charger Build Off last year. And with 3 judges he was the only one that did his part as the others skip dodge city. Thats why I ask him if he would to be judge again as he hong in there all through the last build off and I know he wanted to enter that one but couldn't. This time even the judges are welcome to compete in this.

Daytons are very much welcome in this like Bronze said before. Anything that isn't TV and Movie related is really stock. But try to keep they close to like it came from the factory though.

If you have a car that is alittle bit started already, and would like to enter this in the build off, you can but you half to stick it off to the side until the build off starts though. Bronze knows when I started my last one and how I did it. If I don't get the word out that day or not online, I give Bronze special permisson to do it if he wants to on that day of the start for me.

There is afew things about this build off that i haven't spoke yet about and trying to get things figured out.

The part about the Challenger part, that is a very good idea and I will think on that. How many folks would like to enter a challenger? That is if I would do it.

Try and make the models when the time comes, detailed much as you can though but if you can't get it right don't worry as this is just for fun is all. I'm going to be judging this as while and maybe along with afew judges.

This build off is going to be alittle bit different then the last one we had before.

We had all kinda before entered but only a hand full finish though and the rest was MIA so if those that didn't come in before and didn't there chargers yet, and if you would like to you are welcome in this one to finish those chargers off and start with a new model of and 2nd Gen as while.

Daytons are figure for class 2 as plain jane chargers which are stock chargers.
Charger 500's are also Class 2

NOTE: Joe Dirt Daytona models are Class 1! LOL
(even though its a daytona its still consider a movie car)

I'll asnwer the question best as I can when I see them or Bronze can if he wants to.

I also got you in Class 2, if you are doing a Calss 1 model please let me know and I'll get ya in the right class with your model. Welcome Aboard!

Count me in!!! I'm gonna finish the General Lee survivor car I started last contest. I haven't touched it since about 2 days before the last contest ended so it has been on pause and will be until the contest starts up again. I also still have work to do on my towtruck entery.

P.S. - How late can I submit an entry for a second model? not sure yet on what to build with my GL. I had an idea but breifly forgot this was a second Gen charger contest and I was looking at my 3rd gen charger kit.

Well Jason, I'm honnorded to have you in this contest, your mostly the reason behind it man. I'll be nice to see the model coming to life and anmd being finished.

1 Charger, 1 Challenger, old builders from the first 2nd Gen Build off model if undone they can finish and then start one of each car in this build off .
I think 1 to 2 months would be fair enough for you, what you all think for the entry's?
