I'm sorry I wanted to say ''NOW that you mention it'' Nice. I hope I could find a kit like this, it is a beauty. I would probably build it as it was when it raced. I am a Ford's racing nut and I am trying to get most of Ford's racing history as I can get. But this version, Ford should have raced it, it is beautiful You did a nice job. I do hope everybody in this CBP likes it.
Telling you again, I love the colour

Thanks signmike! Ford did race it!!!! You can find photos of the real race car at www.mustangii.net It was white with blue stripes raced by a guy named Kemp.
Jonny Lightning diecast made a cool 1/64 scale one. You can still find that kit on E-Bay once and a while. They go for around $20-$40. I got lucky and found this one for $12. I think 3 companys made differant versions of the kit. All were curbside and some can be motorized.
All the decals I put on were from my parts box. The hood pins were made with very thin wire wraped around a toothpick to make the loop and glued on with white glue. Then I dabbed a toothpick in silver paint to touch up the raised area on the hood.
I made about 15 of them cause I would drop them as I worked to put them in place and they would vanish being so small. I am sure my vacum will find them later...LOL

Yep the "Stallion" package was a '76 only option. I had a '76 Stallion coupe. the only one I've ever seen before or since. the Stallion was a trim package, available with any other options except colors. They were red, yellow, black, or silver. The horse embelems were red with orange or orange with red

I will keep and eye on Ebay. I just wish I had the chance of being there alongside the track when they raced those cars.

I was looking a ebay yesterday and found 2 or 3 of those airfix ones. Just search for Mustang under model kits and you'll find them and some other nice mustang kits from other years. Just wished I had the money to buy a couple of different ones.

Finally I was able to take pics of my KC Mustang. It is close to paint process. Just final sanding and maybe some correction on left rear spat that does not stick out enough and then paint. Go see those:

I used the front air dam from theMonroe Handler. Had to shorten it from the middle and shape the sides to get the right sculpture. It was a big job.
I have resin copies of the McLaren Mustang wheels made. Now I'm looking for tires. Engine is almost finished. Will post pics soon. I also had to modify the seats to looks like my real cars. Pics are also coming

Wow never though I could get so far...

I wonder if this body would fit on newer Revell IMSA mustang like the Folgers mustang. This could make nice replica. Those race car must have been built as full race car, not from stock body. If I get this one I am going to research this race car.
Just love to get crazy. . .

Yeah Mike, That's what I'm goin' to do with mine. I bought a Whistler Trans Am kit off Ebay, just prior to the IMSA car. But, now I need to find a fuel injection set up for the small block!!! And I'm not having much luck!!!

Roy, I watched this mustang on ebay since you told me about. I emailed 2 times requesting a shipping quote to Canada. Never got an answer. He says will ship to United States only. He is making me nervous. Hope I get an answer and have a chance to bid on it.
