I think this will work.

To Err is human, to blame it on someone else shows management potential.

Thanks for sharing that, I think. Are you going to participate in the build? Or just randomly sharing your thoughts?

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

I will watch from the sidelines at the talent, reading thru the posts I had seen where a GTX in green go is to be entered and put the shot of the green go Charger up.

However, I do have an offer that may stir some more interest in the build, if you want, I will donate 3 new sealed 1/24 - 1/25 kits to this contest and ship them to you this week to be given as you see fit, all to 1 winner or 1st thru 3rd place or ? by an impartial judge? Why simply because I enjoy the hobby and seeing the talent and building.

I'll clarify my "I think...". I just hate green. Don't get me wrong, I like the Green Go, and seafoam is really cool, I just think there's too much green in the world as it is. (Just a personal preference, please don't be offended)

You're most welcome to enjoy the show, Thank you in advance for your support and commentary. :)

Sir, THAT is an awesome offer, thank you! Is that the way it works by the way? Because I had no idea it was a contest, this is my first CBP. Either way I have a counter offer. How about YOU be the impartial judge, and hold on to the kits until the end of the contest? But only if you feel you can be impartial regarding make and model. We can't be snubbing the Chevy's just because we're MOPAR fans. Let me know what you think. Either by PM or simply post a picture of the kits you are offering.

Again, thank you for the very kind offer. :)

Ever have a project go sideway and turn out completely different from the start point? Of course you have. This is why I'm adding one to this thread. Aside from the 1976 Charger Daytona, I'll be doing this as well.

Because this...

Enjoy ^^^ My Mother bought new in 1978

Anyhow No I do not want to be a judge, would it not be best by popular vote? and I would rather send them to one of the board's trusted regulars to send to the winner(I will send a 4th kit to cover whoever's shipping cost to ship) Just an idea, may dig some builders out of the woodwork? It is entirely up to what you guys want

something for everyone.

Tell you what. Let's see if we can do that. Get someone not taking part in the build to hold the kits, OR, you can hold on to them and I would be happy to send you the postage to send them out.

I have been doing some searching around and have talked to a couple people whom shall remain nameless. A Community Build Project is just that and should not be used as or turned into a contest. Contests stir too much of the pot and this is supposed to be for fun.

I would like to thank HINEMOTORS for his very generous offer to foot the bill for some kits to be given out as "prizes" of a sort, but I am afraid I must decline that. I hope this hasn't and doesn't cause anyone ill feelings or resentment. It is my opinion that this is the way it should be. I hope everyone understands. :)

Not a problem at all, and with that thought in mind, I will give this build a try.

Does this qualify? and I can choose any factory color? Or does it have to be red & white?

It will need to be red & white. We're all going to try and replicate exactly what is pictured in the brochure. If you're wanting to use that kit, but in a different color, you might try going to one or more of the brochure websites mentioned earlier in the thread. I'm sure there are probably even more websites that have brochures that haven't been mentioned. You might try your luck at finding more via an Internet search. Holler if we can help you locate anything specific. I'll bet more than 1 or 2 guys will be willing to help you search.

ok no problem, Can I split a hair? Can my particular Choice be a picture of a 56 Vicky 2 door or does it have to be a Crown Vic with the glass roof? If so it will be Red & White.

This is getting a little frustrating.

Step one: Find a BROCHURE

Step two: Pick one of the cars ON the BROCHURE

Step three: Build it AS SEEN on the brochure. (including the color!)

Step four: Show it off here b'cause we're all gonna

You can detail it all you want (consider wheels a free space) but it has to look like it does on the brochure.

Minor progress. Sanded a little on the fender tips, and hood. Got the trim guides in around the nose. Looks really rough now, but you know what they say...

Two things:

A: We've decided wheels are a free space because while the kit may be available in some form, the wheels may not, so fair dues on that

2: I bloody DARE you to paint it like that! Big Smile

I think the proper plural would be TARDI (tard-eye). But that sounds kind of rude. And yes... any life size kits of Billie Piper would be most welcome.

(Look her up fellas, you won't be dissapointed!) wink wink, say no MORE!

You might want to send a message to Robby DeGraff. I've been unable to send a new message to 195X and a couple other guys for a long time now. I've reported it to Robby 3 or 4 times, but I still can't send PMs to a few. Maybe if 3 or 4 of us report it they'll take a look. The only way I can reach them via a PM is to use an old PM, so I've got PM threads that are pages long.

I THINK ... I'm going to chicken out of the multi colour cuda and go for an AMT 1:25th 2010 Challenger R/T Classic with the 5.7 hemi , but my brochure is a 2012 ... I don't think there is any difference in body styling , and the 20 inch polished aluminium "A.R.E.'s" look the same as the catalogue picture. It's a choice of colours :- 1) Blue streak pearl 2) Header Orange or 3) Blackberry pearl . I'll see what our local car parts store has in (They're called Halfords - its all there is in the UK ! ) I asked if they do rattle can Dodge colours , as there are at least 10 different BMW "silver" colours , not one American one at all ! I got back a blank distant stare and some side of mouth drool . . . No change there then !

SoWhistling , after looking at the stripe options and colours , " Bright silver metallic" ( might be BMW silver ..) with red R/T stripes ! Thats if they're in the decal options in the model kit . If not orange with black stripes Wink Anyone 'out there' got one with the decals ?? Prior preperation prevents pathetically poor performance !
