MCW Automotive Finishes (www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com) has the exact Sox and Martin colors....TIM

You could but it would not be an accurate representation of the real car.  If  you have airbrush skills, the MCW paints are the way to go (these are the exact same paints [e.g. paint formulas] as used on the real Sox and Martin race cars).

If not, recommend you go to the local hobby store and look at the Testors and Tamiya spray cans and choose the ones that in your eye look closest to the real cars.

Best of luck with your project!   TIM

How about posting these type questions in the "racecars" forum and not in the group build area?

I looked up the exact colors, according to MCW ( www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com ) .

for '64-'67 Sox and Martin cars, the correct paint their order number 6452 white, 6436 blue, and  6238 red.

for '68 and beyond Sox and Martin cars, their order number 6452 white, 6853 blue, and 6861 red.

This translates to Mopar '64-'68 white for all cars...

For '64-67 Sox and Martin, the blue is Ford '64 Guardsman Blue Metallic and the red is Ford '62-'65 Rangoon Red solid.

For '68 and beyond,  the blue is Plymouth/Dodge '68-only Electric Blue Metallic/Bright Blue Metallic, while the red is Plymouth/Dodge '68/'69 Bright Red (aka Charger Red, 'cuda red, and other various names).

Best regards...TIM

Honestly Pyrman, you are right..  But this should really be posted in the Bodywork and Painting area!  After all, we are dealing with paint & color inquiries......
