Anyone own, or read this How to book?
Posted by StyreneStain on Sunday, January 26, 2014 2:15 AM

I've heard about this book titled "Building and Detailing Scale Model Cars" by Pat Covert. Does anyone have this book? Read it? I would like to buy this book but I don't know where to find it. Any help, Review, or opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Try going to Amazon.com..  I think they have access to just about every book out there!

I found a book entitled "Building Better Scale Model Cars And Trucks Detailing Tips and Techniques" by Pat Covert. It is copywrited 1999, is 88 pages long with lots of b/w and some colored pictures. The publisher is Kalmbach Books. I found it in a second hand store last summer. It's still on my reading list. On the back cover there are other books listed; Building and Detailing Scale Muscle Cars, Building and Detailing scale Stock Cars, Building and Detailing Pickup Trucks and The Modelers Guide to Scale Automotive Finishes. Lots to read

I have that book in my library of "reference books" as well as other model car related books that I've picked up over the years. There may be several out of production books that you can pick up in used condition online.

I have "Building and detailing Scale Model Cars" by George S. Bojaciuk.

I was mainly interested in his Mopar builds. I  enjoyed it, and still reference it from time to time and it's been in my library for over 10 years. Thanks for reminding me , i may have to look up some more titles.
