63 Impala: Revell or AMT?
Posted by ddpod on Monday, September 30, 2013 11:03 AM

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but, has anyone ever built both revell and AMTs 63 impala?

Which one has more chassis detail or are they both a promo style.

And who has the more accurate body proportions?

 thanks for any advice

Revell's '63 Impala is the most detailed kit of the two. The main nit I have with it is the engine. The basic block/trans is quite nice, but the one piece intake, carb and heads as a unit has to go. That can be remedied by simple parts swapping. The most recent issue of Revell's '63 has some nice custom wheels in it (Billet Specialties). If you wanted to, you could combine it with parts from the AMT kit for an interesting custom.
