looks nice, Brandon.  Is that the lightbar from the COP OUT kit?

The rotators are the only parts from the COP OUT kit.  The mounting feet and siren are from the Johan Fury kit, the base is 0.080 x 0.100 strip styrene wrapped in BMF.  I changed the guts of the rotators to use red and blue jewels.

Well, finally had time to get some outdoor photos of the Monaco.  Even after dusting, this kit just loves to pick up dust.  Starting with an interior shot, you can still make out the error around the door seals.  I hopefully painted the taillights correctly to reflect a 1977 Dodge Monaco.

Now for some spy shots of the Charger.  Chassis work before assembly...learned the hard way to attach the wheels to the front spindles before cementing into place.

The cabin is completed box stock, I added a decal to the computer screen after I took this picture though.

The Charger is assembled, I applied the license plate to the front and will attach the push bumper, then finish off the Arjent lightbar.  Photos of final assembly of the Charger will come after the weekend, as well as a group shot of the Monaco and the Charger.

My Dodge Charger is finished.  It is decaled as a 2008 Sandusky County Sheriff's cruiser.  Since SCSO never bought a Charger, I took some liberties and used the chrome grill to give it a meaner look.

And of course, things wouldn't be complete without the group shots of both Dodges.

Greg,

I agree, the Charger does seem larger than it should for a 1/24 scale model.  I think this might be because the Monaco is undersized, and may be closer to 1/26 scale.  If that is the case, it will really make the side-by-side comparison more dramatic.

This won't stop me from building more of either kit...do I see CPD 623 in my future?  Maybe.

CPD 623?  As in Columbus PD?  If so, 623 is a FREEWAY PATROL unit.

Correct, that would be Columbus' only Charger.

Not sure if this car is still around, it was hidden out on the East Side of Columbus at a State of Ohio building.

James: it's not "hidden" - that's where the officer parks it when not on duty.  Freeway Patrol officers are allowed to park them at a State or city property closest to their home.  They may also leave them at another city's PD - one officer used to park his at Whitehall PD

Well I didn't mean "hidden" like they're actually trying to hide it, I just meant that it's the only Charger they have (had) and if you didn't know where the officer parks it, you'd probably never find it.  Whitehall used to have 2 or 3 Columbus cars parked in back at one point in the 90's.  I remember there being at least 2 behind Reynoldsburg's station at that time too.  I'm all for take-home units, they are taken care of much better when the officer has pride in HIS/HER patrol vehicle.
