station wagon faux wood siding
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, February 16, 2004 10:50 AM
Anyone know of any places I can get the faux wooden siding for station wagons?

Is this available in decal form or in adhesive plastic?

Thanks

Chris

I think that most people use thin balsa wood, cos its real :o) I hope to make a nice woodie with real wood sides, canary yellow body work, surfboards, er, sorry, what was the question again?! heheh.....

hey, i haven't tried this stuff, just found the link a minute and a half ago. but you may want to give it a try. the grain looks better than balsa.

I have used super super thin wood veneer from the WoodWOrkers Store with great results

The AMT Lincoln Continental has a fortion of the rare and endagered rainforest material fakewood on the decal sheet. I'm sure some of the aftermarket decal suppliers have this too.Smile

Johan's '59 Rambler wagon has two large wood-grain panels on one of the decal sheets in the kit. Might be just what you are looking for.

Super Scale International makes wood decals in a few different colors. Sheets are about 5x7 inches, and they also make solid color sheets.
