1/24 1/25 welding supplies
Posted by murln on Thursday, January 15, 2004 11:26 AM
g'day,
i'm working on a 1/24 dodge ram quad cab dually welding truck. is there a source for scale welding machines and gas/oxygen bottles? i'm not experienced with scratchbuilding yet, but am willing to try. this truck is going to be a gift, so if i can buy some professional parts, i'm sure the end result would be better. if not, any tips/suggestions for scratchbuilding such things would be great. thanks for taking the time to read this and for any ideas you might have.

Godspeed,
dennis

There are other places as well. You might want to check out "Model Car Garage". I don't have the link right now but I know others can help. You might just want to use that name with the quotes as search criteria for a Google search.

You might try to find an AMT 1953 Ford F-100 pickup kit, #6487. It has some service accessory parts including weding tanks, torch, tools, jack, a fire extinguisher and "Loss Arc Welding" decals. Tons of other optional pieces, too. (over 190 parts)

thanks again brian. i branched off your original post and searched for "dioramic" and found a few other resources. i still haven't found the welding machine, but i'm not done looking.

hoser, thanks. i've noted the kit you mention and will see what i can find.

so far, i'm getting a good feeling about this forum!
