Need '40 Ford hood, or other to make boat-tail speedster
Posted by Wick Humble on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 5:01 PM

I need '40 Ford hood, or other, to make boat-tail speedster from a R-R roadster kit.  I tried the Ford (not surplus!) and it looks reasonable for the top deck, some sheet plastic and I think I've got it.  Converting to another Harry Miller phantom, with fabricated DOHC V-12 (like some of his marine engines in the White book) and front wheel drive.

I'd hate to sacrifice a mint hood, so any old glue-bomb would do for this project.  Anyone out there with a rough relic hood please consider sending it to me?!  Wick

Got some stuff to trade, of course, including the Rolls big six.

Are you still in need of a hood?

Ok, PM me with your address and I'll get it in the mail. It's an unpainted, unglued hood, molded in black.

A Willys hood would also do ya.
