Just wondering if you guys at SA knew where you could get F1 Driver figures

If I were lookin' for driver figures I'd check some of the aftermarket companies listed on "rocketfin" and I also would check with Model Roundup and Spotlight Hobbies too.

From my understanding Shapeways has a pretty good selection of figures.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

G'day RLFrost.  Back in 1990, Tamiya had a 1/20 scale 'F-1 Driver and Technical Engineer Set' kit, which came with a seated driver and a standing 'Team Engineer'.  It included decals and colour charts for then-current drivers for McLaren, Benetton, and Leyton House, plus a timing monitor, transceiver and headset.  The driver figure could be placed into the relevant F1 car kit, replacing the kit seat.  I haven't seen any on Ebay or anywhere for years. 

Have a look at DRUMS01 recent post of his McLaren M8, looks like he has used these figures.  Cheers
