The closest kit available is the Revell/Monogram 1950 Ford pickup.  The '50 is not very different from the '48, maybe some minor script changes.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

Revell makes a combo kit with a so-called 1948 and a 1998 Ford F-series pickup.  The problem?  Revell just put their 1950 kit in and called it a 1948.  The only structural difference that is noticeable on the truck is the 1948 had an embossed panel on each side of the bed that is raised.  The 1950 has a smooth panel on each side.  The only other differences between the years is the panel that holds the grille and headlights could ONLY be argent (aluminum silver) in 1950.  In 1948, it could be more colors.  Also, you get into trim levels (painted vs. chromed grille, etc.).  You will have to decide what level you want before you build.  And I checked for you, and you cannot cheat and use a 1950 Chevy bed, because it, too, lacks the raised panel you will see on the Ford.  I just thought of that while doing this reply, but sadly it will not work.

I bought a Die Cast Stock '48 Ford F-1 . Unfortunatly , mine is not up for trade or sale . Yet , I see these on occasion . Check Die Cast Auction Sites for starts .. On the aftermarket , what you seek is out there . Thanx ..
