Looking for a 1/25 Goodyear Eagle ZR-40 tire
Posted by markdoo on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 7:02 PM

I am looking to trade for (2) 1/25 Goodyear Eagle ZR35 Directional-tread tires that

could be found in a few different AMT/Ertl kits, (one of which was the 1989 Corvette ZR-1

kit #6277; these were the bigger/rear tires inside that particular Corvette kit).  These tires

were also inside the 1972 GMC Street-Machine Pickup kit #6081.

I have a fairly-extensive parts box to trade from.  Thanks!

Okay; so does anybody have a pair of 1/25 Goodyear ZR-40 Directional-tread tires in their parts box?  These ZR-40's were found in several different AMT/Ertl kits.

Markdo I think I have the pair.  AMT tire, Good Year Eagle VR 40 on the tire.  OD is 1 inch and the ID is 21/32.  That the ones you need?  Drop me a pm.

To Err is human, to blame it on someone else shows management potential.

Glooz,

There are three different sizes in these AMT Goodyear Eagle Directional-tread tires that I am looking for the ZR40 sized tire of.  All three sizes of these tires have the same sidewall style and same tread-pattern, but they get wider based on their sizes:

There is a ZR35-sized tire that is the widest of the three styles.

There is the ZR40-sized tire that I am seeking a pair of; these are the middle-width tire of the three styles.

The narrowest of the three styles is labelled VR-50 tire on its sidewalls...  (I don't think there is one identified as a VR40 as you described in your post?!?!).   My guess is it's either a ZR40 or a VR50 tire that you've got there.

If its a ZR40, that's exactly what I'm looking for!

Yeah, so I cant type.  Arthrits in the hands makes em do some funny things.  These tires are directional tread and have ZR40 on the sidewall.  You want em or not?
