63 or 64 impala 4 door
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 28, 2007 7:39 PM
Anyone know if a 1963 or 1964 Impala 4 - door plastic or resin kit was ever made in 1/25 scale? I need to make one and it sure would be easier if someone else has done the hard part for me. Thanks.

Not so hard, see my topic in the stock region in this forum and look for 64 sleeper by Henri1 a few pages back...... You could do so with any 63 or 64 AMT or Revell kit.

Thanks Henri1. Nice job on the impala. I figured I would have to cut and stretch the body, but it appears as though you just filled the door lines and re-scribed new ones. I'll give the model a try and see if I can get the right look. Thanks again.

Henri just did it the hard way! Big Smile I used the MCW 63 Biscayne 2 door sedan and moved it's post and door lines..you don't need to extend the body as 2 and 4 door cars in the BIG Chevy line were on the same wheelbase then!

Model Car World also offers a 1964 Chevy Biscayne resin kit that can be converted to a 4-door using Mike's idea. The standard Impala emblems are available from photo-etch kits from the Model Car Garage for both the 1963 and 1964 Impala.
