A helpful hint for the new members!!

For our new members who may not know this, if you have a part someone is asking for, or you want to talk to an individual via e-mail, most of us have an e-mail icon at the bottom of our reply, or topic. All you have to do is left click on the icon and you will be able to send an e-mail message to the individual. I hope this is helpful. VirgilBig SmileBig Smile

So you mean like instead of posting a bunch of replies as to what someone wants in trade we should just email them personally? WOW, what a concept ! Jim Haight will actually be able to concentrate on the magazine instead of reminding people of the need for private email conversations!

Seriously Virgil, a big THANK YOU for posting this and hopefully ALL members will remember to use email for all transactions and use the forum for posting related topics.

I guess I'm dumb, but I don't see an email icon anywhere on your post. Please help!

I believe what virgilglover is referring to is a “private message”. You can send a private message to members that allow it by first clicking on the user name or avatar that are located on the left side of the thread posts. Clicking on either will bring up a new web page that has any info the member has entered and at the top right of the info are two buttons. One for sending a “friend request” and one for sending a “private message”. I could be wrong, but I think that’s what he is referring to.

Virgil is referring to the original version of the forum in his ten year old post. The forum has been completely overhauled three times since then.

Also, you'll notice that what bumped this ten year old thread was some low life posting spam. That's been happening a lot here lately. Very annoying.

Yes, we have had a rash of it for some reason. I'm trying to keep up with it, but am just about breaking even so far. Angry
