This is what they mean to me, but not sure of others.

1 Replica stock= building a replica of any 1:1 ?

2 Box stock= using whats in the box.

3 Curbside= No engine ?

Hope that helps.

I may be wrong but, my understanding was always thus:

1. Replica stock = Replica of any car as it was, coming from the assembly line.

2. Box stock = Using only parts supplied in the kit, no aftermarket or additions

3. Curbside = Built as static model only, no opening hood or engine detail. (Typically the engine bottom is painted black to hide it or not installed at all and the hood glued closed)

(Just a small expansion on what Painted Black said)

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

I've always thought that was Factory Stock. I guess they could be the same? I guess it all depends on who is throwing the get togetherCool

I was ASSUMING they were the same, but "Replica" could be a Batmobile or Roth custom as well I suppose as long as it's built stock or as supposed to be? Now I'm confusing myself and the poor O.P. whom I'm sure wanted a simple answer. :(

Let the organizer at the show have a look, and they should set you up in the correct category
