I'd send 'em an email or call to confirm that if it were me wanting to know. Personally I have hard time believing that as much as folks buy from them but then again, you never know.

Rev: I went ahead and emailed Bob Korunow , the owner of Model Car Garage, and he is NOT closing anytime soon. In his words he is in this until the day he dies (which he hopes isn't for a long long time). He asked me to tell everybody that this is coming directly from him that the Model Car Garage is not going anywhere  and is also coming out with new products sometime this summer.

That fella at Pegasus Hobbies that told you this has nothing but "hear say " to stand on. When in doubt .........go to the source.Wink

I just found this on my Club's FaceBook page.

Regarding Model Car Garage:

There is a rumor floating around that Bob may be closing Model Car Garage. This is NOT TRUE. I suspect the rumor may have started because he did not vend at NNL East.

As I said that seems so sudden I met Bob once at gslmcc years ago and I never figured he'd sellout or quit he was as far as I could see hardcore hobbiest doing what he. Loved headaches and all that come by no. Means is building model cars or selling aftermarket a get rich business its a hobby that a few make a few bucks just to pay the bills and groceries but most of the guts I met back then put most of their"profits" back in their hobby I hate the big companies that are gobbling up small mom n pop hobby shops don't get me wrong I. Like the bigstores too but prefer the comoraderee that ya get at the local hobby shop model club at the store after hours for show n tell once a month. Last one of those I was in was the late 80s in warren Rhode island and one across town by east providence to. Crud sorry went on a rant I hate rumors anyhow ill keep mail ordering and now on with the segregation of kits that been in hiding to many years happy modeling. Sorry for the rant but dam I miss the good old days

Thanks for the replies. Going straight to the source would have been the smart thing to do. For some reason my first thought was coming here. Hey moparlover, I'm roughly 30 minutes east of San Bernardino. Pegasus is like Disneyland to me.

A word to the wise:  Most hobby shops are small businesses, and as such, can have the habit of telling folks, when they are short on capital, that such-and-such, or so-and-so-is out of business,  just to disguise their own financial inability.
