Hi everyone .Well, my name is Dave Susan. I live in the tree country, Oregon, and I love our tree's. I grew up in SoCal and built models and street rods, My first car was a 1950 Merc that I am currently building a model of. I put a 331 inch 1951 Chrysler hemi in it, with dual quads and all the "goodies" I love building all kinds of model cars. Love real cars too. Street rods, customs and the 20's and and 30's classics. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, camping in the summer, and doing research on rare old cars. I also spend time with friends going out to eat and telling lies - LOL. Besides loving to build models, I love people and enjoy helping them. I do volunteer work at a mens homeless rescue shelter and collect food, bedding and clothing for them. I have worked with single parent groups and started and led mens groups at church I'm a Christian and go weekly to a wonderful church in the Portland area. My oldest son lives here in the area too, and we attend church together and are best friends !! I'm a very young 65 as of two days ago 5/6/08, very healthy, and love life emensly. I belong to two model clubs and really enjoy them both. I love to laugh and tease and be with my buddies. We're all pretty outgoing and have fun together. Going to the GSL is always party time for us, and winning is never a goal, but eating is - LOL !! Plastic for me is really about artistic expression. I love varieties of colors in my builds and am always looking for new combinations. Scratch building and painting are two of my favorite parts of building. Lancer Co. was a slot racing body manufacturer in the 60's, in SoCal, and my claim to fame is that I was one of the original master pattern makers starting in 1964 and stayed for 13 years, before moving to Oregon. If you go on eBay, you'll usually find one of the bodies for sale as a collectors item. Chances are I made the master!! Well, that's it for now. Maybe I'll add more latter. Does anyone really read this stuff ???
