My name is Richard and I live in Perth, Western Australia. Born in 1971 I am currently almost 45 with a wife and three daughters. Since our cat of 17 years died almost a year ago, I am the only male in the house........so I spend a bit of time in the shed working on models ! We have a cat...but she's a girl !! And now a new puppy, and she's a girl too.....
I started making models when I was about 13 being keenly into Tamiya 1/35 World War 2 tanks etc. After years of not making models, I started Star Wars customising, ie painting up and scratch build modifying Star Wars action figures, which was a good and lucrative way of using my painting and weathering skills.
In the past year or so though I have been indulging in my passion for muscle cars.
I'm a big Ford fan, being the proud owner of a modified BA Falcon XR6 in a colour called Bionic which is very much like Grabber Blue. As much as I am a devout Ford fan, I have recently taken a keen interest in Plymouth Roadrunners, particularly 1968/69/70 models.
My first car was a Datsun 1200 coupe which my Dad and I resprayed and restored. Since then I have had all Falcons 1985 XF, 1995 EF and now 2005 BA. All straight sixes. I also just recently picked up a Ford FPV GT-P also in Bionic, a 2006 model with only 45000kms on the clock. It is a Boss 290kw 5.4 litre V8 and I am enjoying it!
