About Jimmy Razor

I started building model kits in 1972 when I was 8 years old.  I remained very dedicated to the hobby until I graduated from high school and developed other interests. I returned to the fold in the early 'nineties, building a number of 1/25 cars, mostly 1950's through 1970's models, this time with a better eye for detail and vastly-improved painting skills.

I made my second return in 2015, when I tried to interest my 12-year-old son in the hobby.  While unsuccessful at influencing him, I rekindled my own interest.  Now, my focus is finding vintage kits for low prices, and building them the way I wanted to as a kid.  As noted, I love vintage cars, and focus upon anything from the 1930's through the 1970's.  I also pride myself upon being a "budget builder," working with basic kits and letting the paint job do the talking.
