Well, first I was born. At about 7 I started building models. In my teens I built models, in my 20's I built models and got married. In my late 20's I built models and got rid of the wife, she didn't build. For the next 30+ years I built models. I am now retired and I still build. I left model cars in 2000 and built armor and military figures in 1/35 and some in 1/16 until 2007 and returned to cars. My interest is mostly in endurance racers, road racers and F1 of all years. I really enjoy the Fangio and Moss era of F1 and enjoy reading autobiographys of some of the racers. I have just completed reading works on Mark Donohue, Nigel Mansell, Jackie Stewart and Stirling Moss with others to follow. My stash of projects will last longer than I will so I have thinned out the collection a great deal and still have too many. I did however keep my full collection of Merit kits! I have one example of every Indy kit from AMT and plan to build them all but I am not sure if I will ever have time. That is one of my goals to do. I enjoy trading parts and kits and like to hear from modelers with the same interests. And by the way, for those who wish to know, I live in the Ozarks, in Arkansas. Yes, I REALLY do live on the old Haney place. I am always looking for Hoyt-Clagwell tractor parts so let me know if you find any.
