I've been modeling off and on since I was 8 years old in 1956. I really got into in in 1958 when AMT released their first car kits .. boats and planes got thrown aside! After the first two I never built a kit I didn't modify, kitbash or chop, channel and section! Customs were the object of choice back in the '60's. After a 30 year break starting at 16 I got a few kits to see if my son would pick up the habit. No luck there, but it did get me back into it after seeing how much there was in the aftermarket and all the supplies available ... the hobby had really grown up .. along with all us builders :)
I got hooked on building cars that I had owned and was surprised how many were available in kits and a few modifications. Now that I'm retired I build almost every day to some extent and rarely finish anything .. it's just too much fun building!
Just build for yourself ... you're the only one that counts!
