Like many of us, I started building car models in the late fifties and then got involved in the more "mature" stuff (wife, kids, homes). I was lucky enough to be able to have built quite a few quick 1:1 cars and still have a couple. I got back into building models in the late eighties. The quality and detail of recent kits rekindled my creativity as I prefer to modify existing kits such as the Revell '67 GTX hardtop into vehicles that are not produced in kit form such as my '67 Hemi Belvedere D/S station wagon, '67 Belvedere 2-door sedan police car and '67 GTX convertible a la "Tommy Boy". I enjoy adding small details such as accurate casting/forging marks on rear end housings, fabricating seats, headliners, shift and clutch linkage and replicating factory painting processes. While I have participated in shows (NNL East, LIARS, Replicon (IPMS) I really don't get to many shows, so the gallery at Scale Auto is a great way to display my creations and enjoy those of others. I have lived in New Jersey and Illinois but have spent most of my life in New York on Long Isand.
